Various philanthropic programmes and campaigns such as NSS regular activities, planting saplings, smokeless stove making, construction of toilets and proper use, Literacy campaigns, Blood donation camps, Health check-up camps, Pulse Polio, Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan, Desilting of lakes, Awareness Jathas on deadly diseases (Epidemics and Pandemics), Environmental Conservation, Proper waste disposal, Plastic-free environment have been undertaken right from its inception. Since 1973, many NSS programme officers of the college have served in this regard.

NSS unit ‘B started in the year 1984. Shri. S G Hiremath and Shy. S G Chikkanagoudra were programme officers of units’ ‘A’ and ‘B’. In 1985, Shri H R Me, worked as NSS Co-Ordinator, Karnatak University, Dharwad. Smt. M V Shrimati was the first female NSS programme officer of the college. Programme officer, NSS unit ‘A’, Shri B D Karedennavar was conferred with ‘BEST NSS OFFICER’ award by Karnatak University, Dharwad. Smt. G K Sarvamangala served from 1989 to 1993. In the academic year 2020-21, Dr. L C Hiremath and Prof. DL Pawar are the programme officers of ‘A’ and ‘B’ units respectively.
